Add sweet and gentle and you have Miss Daisy!!
In anticipation of not being able to make it into the shelter on Saturday, I decided to stop in after work on Wednesday to hang with a couple of friends. Some I have already met and some I haven’t. New to my list is a sweetheart named Daisy and after Wednesday I hope to see her regularly until she finds herself a forever home.
Daisy is a Schneider dog but to look at her you would never know. She is beautiful. A little timid and nervous at first, but her unbelievable potential shines through once you get her on a walk. Having endured the trauma that she has endured she has made leaps and bounds when it comes to her socialization.
As we walked, she stayed at my side and when we sat to chill out, at first she would lay down about 2 feet away from me, but after a few minutes she circled around and moved closer. She is trying to trust, but isn’t quite there yet. You can tell by her body language that she really wants to, but needs a little time. Although, from what I observed only in one day she is going to make someone a fantastic best friend.
I gotta tell you, it was difficult for me to bring her back inside, she has a certain calming presence about her and I can’t wait for someone to see what a great dog she would be if only given the chance.
Not only is Daisy sweet and gentle, being that she is a Schneider dog, her adoption is sponsored. This means that the adoption fees are paid for, the only thing you need is love and patience to bring home this darling. Don’t hesitate, I can bet you need her just as much as she needs you, take a ride and go see Daisy, she will melt your heart.
